MountainNet consists of a wide-area network (WAN) connecting all buildings in the Cheyenne Mountain School District. Our WAN is a combination of fiber-optic cabling, wireless bridges, and T-1 lines.
All buildings in the district utilize Ethernet local-area networks (LANs) to connect all classrooms and offices to the wide-area network. In addition to networked labs and media centers in the school buildings, every classroom in the Cheyenne Mountain School District also has at least one, and in many cases several, multimedia computers with access to building and district resources, as well as direct access to the Internet.
