Substitute Opportunities
If you are interested in applying as a substitute teacher or substitute paraprofessional you must meet the following requirements:
Substitute Teacher Eligibility:
Completed District 12 application online
Four-year degree
Current Colorado Teaching License or Colorado Substitute Authorization
Attendance at a scheduled District Substitute Orientation
Substitute Paraprofessional Eligibility:
Completed District 12 application online
High school diploma or equivalent
CMSD12 Background check
Attendance at a scheduled District Substitute Orientation
All new & returning substitute teachers and substitute paraprofessionals must attend a District 12 Orientation annually. No invitation or registration is required.
An additional and final Substitute Teacher and Substitute Paraprofessional Orientation for the 2023/2024 school year is scheduled for Monday, March 18, 2024, 8:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m., Central Administration, 1775 LaClede St., 80905
Please check the CMSD12 District Calendar or the Substitute Opportunites link this summer for the scheduled orientations beginning in August 2024 for the 2024-2025 school year.
