PLOT

Don't miss the wonderment and joy of Charles Dickens' classic tale of opening your heart to others. On Christmas Eve, the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge (Oli Lopez) is visited by the ghost of his former partner, Jacob Marley (Joey Hildebran), who warns him of his cruel fate and arranges for three spirits to visit him. The Ghost of Christmas Past (Wyatt Sandmann) shows Scrooge his lonely youth and lost love, the Ghost of Christmas Present (Charlize LeClaire) reveals the struggles of his employee Bob Cratchit (David Collin IX) and his family (Bri Froese, Emery Jespon, Makenna Perrette, and Maxine Gowen), and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come (presented through puppeteers - Piper Nichols, Lennie Gustafson, Lapis Largent) shows Scrooge the desolate consequences of his unrepentant ways, culminating in his own death and the indifference of others. Waking on Christmas morning, Scrooge is transformed into a generous and compassionate man, spreading goodwill and kindness to everyone he meets. This lively adaptation by THEATREWORKS legend, Murray Ross including adjustments made for the 2018 THEATREWORKS performance by then Artistic Director, Caitlin Lowans, features traditional English carols sung by the cast as well as live music and ghostly puppets designed by local puppet maker, Katy Williams. A holiday treat for the entire family!
