Our CMHS Environmental Science and Geology/Astronomy students celebrated Earth Day early yesterday, conducting research in the open space on how fire-mitigated land recovers vegetation and bird populations. In the afternoon students also rejuvenated the bird boxes you see along the trails. Thank you Mr. Mangels, Mr. Carmody, Rocky Mountain Field Institute, Colorado Springs Forestry Dept., and the Palmer Land Trust for making this day possible!

Recently our CMHS Robotics Team, Team Elevation, competed in their 3rd and final competition for the 2026 season. Our student-led team finished 3rd at the Denver Regional Competition! This is a huge accomplishment for a 2nd year team when many of the teams they were competing against have been competing for 20-30 years. Congratulations, Hawks!
