Our CMHS AP Bio students successfully transformed E. coli bacteria by introducing GFP (green fluorescent protein) from jellyfish—causing the bacteria to glow! This exciting, hands-on lab is part of the biotechnology unit with genetic engineering techniques used in medicine.
